Hey there! It's been a couple of months without updates. Our plan was to connect with you every two weeks and spill the beans on what's happening at TWS. But you know how it goes – work, both on and off the platform, sometimes takes over, and we can't keep up with our original schedule. Life's like that for everyone, right? So, we're sure you get where we're coming from.
Here, we're sharing some of the things that have gone down since our last update.
Aaron Beebe + Pastikcomb magazine:
We had a chat with Aaron Beebe to discuss the release of the seventh edition of the fantastic Plastikcomb magazine and get all the juicy details about the evolution of this project that we've been loving since the beginning.
Chiara De Zan: Living in a material world
We stumbled upon the work of this artist based in northern Italy via Instagram, and to delve deeper into both the person and their art, we dedicated one of our "An intro to..." features to them. A blend of Arte Povera and digital art that leaves us itching to explore even more after this introduction.
Abstraction, absurdity and criticality with Ry McCullough
McCullough's work tackles various themes in an extremely personal manner, where ideas intertwine with materials, creating a narrative that feels both intimate and urgent. We had a chat with Ry to uncover some details about their career and their approach to artistic production.
Books, zines y printed wonders
The section led by the great Cless keeps expanding every Friday. To catch all the latest updates, your best bet is to check out the Bookshelf section on our website. For now, so you can get a glimpse of the latest wonder he suggested, here's an image of a book by Boris Tellegen.
Weird Inspiration
Our weekly section, where we showcase artists pushing the concept of collage to unsuspected limits, has continued to flourish, thanks in part to Cless' collaboration. Here, we've shared the work of countless artists worth discovering and exploring. One of the latest features was Willi Dorner, but it's worth taking a stroll through all the posts in this section because it's a treasure trove!
But wait, there's more: we're going full throttle on a major project set to be unveiled in May 2024. While we're immersed in this and everything else, we'd love to hear your ideas, news, and greetings. Take care!
Saludos from Barcelona,
Max
