Hey all!
I meant to make this newsletter bi-monthly but I just realised that the last one was made about a year ago. Shame on me!
Anyway, here I am with a quick update and a couple of links of the cool things we've been doing lately.
I'll make it as a list to it's faster to read and easier to write :P
-Podcast Sponsoring: First and great news is that since early 2022 our podcast is sponsored by the amazing people of NEW, a project based art collection designed to foster artist collaboration and empower creative expression. Thanks to this sponsoring we could get to work with the talented editor and sound designer Matías Rossi and audio wizard Adrià Navarro. With these additions to our previous one man team the podcast has grown in all senses amazingly. Thanks NEW for all the support! It means a world to us.
- Podcast Season 02: Fresh New Episode: Our latest episode (which is out since yesterday) features Berlin based Michel Lamoller and we discuss about his work where photography, sculpture and installations are blended in a unique way. Listen to it on Apple podcasts, Spotify, our site and everywhere podcasts live :)
- Check these out too: And the previous ones include Pablo Serret de Ena (film, music, installations), China Marks (Draws and collages with fabric and thread), Catalina Schiebener (Collage, gender, identity and class), Diane Meyer (Photography, embroidery and memory), Anthony Zinonos (Restrictions and emotions) and James Gallagher (our inspiration and a legend).
- We've done lots of written interviews too. There are lots of great talks we had with artists of all kinds since our last email. Daryl Burtnett, Susana Blasco, Niko Vartiainen, Patrick Bergsma, Antonio Carrau, Cless and Henar Bayón, Michael Harnish and even a collaged interview to the late John Baldessari are just some of them. Go to our interviews section and find the ones that you hadn't read yet.
- We keep on fighting the algorithm! TWS is made by a more than tiny crew that work on other stuff to pay the rent. So we don't have hours to spend on social media following all the rules that are needed to be followed so Instagram shares our content with a larger audience. So if you enjoy TWS, please share our content with friends and people you think might enjoy it and also comment, like and do all that silly stuff that helps us to share our work with more weirdos like us :)
Thanks for your support and love!
Saludos from our HQ in Barcelona :)
